To travel the depths of ones inner being and unwind ones awareness from tightly held conscious and unconscious belief's takes time and dedicated practice. When one travels this deep into consciousness it becomes apparent that there is much more to the universe than meets the regular eye.
Someone at a social gathering I was at recently made comment about opening the 3rd eye as if everyone can do it. Not everyone should do that or is ready for that and I questioned him..and he was not aware of what actually happens when the third eye opens. I think he saw a Youtube video on it. Some people take psychedelic drugs to open the 3rd eye and it can be opened that way..but staying open is a whole other spiritual practice that takes a spiritual responsibility.
Why...because..opening the 3rd eye....it's like being birthed into a whole dimension of existence and if you are not ready for it..can cause many physical, emotional and spiritual problems. So opening the 3rd eye is a task one does not want to truly begin unless you have a seasoned spiritual teacher for support. Once the 3rd eye is open a new level of awareness begins and it's very difficult to go backwards.
Many people think it's fun to be more psychic and so they take classes on that. Yet they have no spiritual practice for what happens when you open your mind to the supernatural realm.
As I have become more naturally psychically aware, I have realized that having regular energy cleansing and clearing practices is important to mental, physical and spiritual health. This can be a growing pain of awareness for many people because the spiritual bandwagon can be fun to jump onto and people want quick results and quick fixes for themselves.
What else are growing pains of awareness? They do not have to be painful but many times they are as people stretch themselves into a new way of being. I came across this awareness one day as I realized that my old ways being were being let go of and I was stepping into an awareness that was new. It required me take deeper responsibility for my thoughts, my actions, my life path. This way of being that seemed foreign to parts of my mind that still wanted to reside in old ways of being.
For instance..when I found out how unhealthy refined sugar is for the body, when my mind "got it"...I stopped eating it..but my mind still wanted it.
Or when I realized how my thoughts really affect the world around me and I knew I had to become more aware of my daily thoughts and words.
Constant practice, meditation, focus.
It's all the inner consciousness of being INtrospective rather than OUTrospective for uncovering and unraveling all the depths within and the layers that have to come off to experience spiritual insights. The word insight is called that because it's about the inner journey...and inner journey.
Yoga, true yoga and the actual practice of it takes a person on that inner journey....and then whole other worlds open up.
Peace and Blessings,
