It is amusing to me that after almost 14 years practicing yoga..that my brain still tries to get me to find things to avoid communing lovingly with my body/mind. Last night as I began my meditation/yoga time I caught my thoughts saying.."ok lets hurry up and get through this yoga practice and then we can get on with life". So I slowed down more to let go of that stress. Ha ha...as if there is anywhere to be but here and now present in the body, feeling deeply into the vibration that runs throughout..letting go, opening up and allowing that amazing life force to flow....♥ This is how you massage yourself from the inside out.... Add Comment Hello all...Having lots of conversations with people lately who are feeling overwhelmed and ungrounded. Massage therapy is a wonderful way to do that yes...and I am talking about spending time with yourself alone in quietness..giving back to you. This is where my world really started to shift. I had to learn to sit still and truly relax. We can be in a yoga class with others around and relax yes. However, developing a seated stillness meditation with ourselves can be truly profound. Many people are afraid to sit still or be quiet or let themselves relax. IN these meditative moments with yourself, is where you will find clarity, creativity, deep healing, comfort and peace. If you say you can't relax or meditate you won't be able to...because that's your mind telling you that, I promise. However if you let that go and sit still..just sit still....you will understand that there is a whole other world inside that is amazing..and that place is what noone can or should take away. Many blessings....♥ You now how some people are tech 'geeks' or book 'geeks'? I am a mind/body geek! Absolutely love the human body! Been studying some new massage techniques for releasing scar tissue and adhesion's from injuries and repetitive stress. Today I practiced them on a regular client..and his shoulders had more mobility in them than ever. I LOVE that..and the capacity of the human body to heal. It was so wonderful to see him walk out of the office with ease and movement! After, almost 12 years of massage experience and 14 years of yoga experience..and I am still totally amazed at the human body/mind! Our mind/body are one, so connected in unity. Remember when our minds are stressed & zooming, so can our bodies feel tense and tight. Remember to slow down, synch-in and do things that promote stillness and quietness within. Massage, Meditation and Yoga are all great for this. I personally love how deeply connecting with my muscles and slowly stretching into releasing them feels amazing. Blessings... |
