Even though I had practiced yoga for 9 years, I didn't start meditating until about 5 years ago. This is where my world really started to shift. I had to learn to sit still and truly relax. We can be in a yoga class with others around and relax yes. However, developing a seated stillness meditation with ourselves can be truly profound. Many people are afraid to sit still or be quiet or let themselves relax. IN these meditative moments with yourself, is where you will find clarity, creativity, deep healing, comfort and peace. If you say you can't relax or meditate you won't be able to...because that's your mind telling you that, I promise. However if you let that go and sit still..just sit still....you will understand that there is a whole other world inside that is amazing..and that place is what noone can or should take away.
